Plan on taking a trip pretty soon? Have a GPS mobile device? If you have answered YES to both of the following questions you might have interest in this new application offered by Shape Services. Yes Ladies and Gentleman, the company that brought us IM+, Skpe and a whole list of valuable applications to the Blackberry community, has done it again. This time they took development to another angle. It’s something that’s really different, but yet cool. The name of application is: GPSed (Still in BETA)

* Map GPS tracks from your mobile and keep them in a personal archive
You can record your tracks anywhere that you’ve gone from your Mobile device.
* Share your position and tracks with friends and family
You and record your tracks of a trip and share photos with your family and friends during your whole trip.

It’s a great idea! It’s something that was missing in the arena of Mobile apps. Especially since alot of Blackberry Users for example are involved in alot of outdoor activities that could make this application really usable. It’s a great app for hikers, cross country bikers, family trips, overseas tourism..etc. We say go ahead over and download it or better yet, if you still have doubts take a look at GPSed faqs. Enjoy!
Side Note: Face it people love keeping track of family and friends. No matter whether it’s tracking their lives via applications such as GPSed or other existing website on the web , simply put – people want to keep in touch. To really show you where we’re going with this.. recently and this is a some good gossip .. we recently caught wift of a thirdparty site that is about to blow the hinges off the doors and they mean business!!! We can’t and won’t say, who we’re talking about , but let’s just say online web communities ( don’t worry it’s not ANOTHER online web community) might wanna watch and prepare well their 2008 strategies.
